A Nameless Cat
A poem
By Brainy Nilved
I had a cat that had no name
But his life was joyful just the same
Don't look like that, I feel no shame
For the fact my cat had no other name
But the cat he didn't feel the same
When life was dull he held me to blame
He said where's the love man, where's the fame
I could have both if I had a name
I said your lack of name doesn't play a part
And you must know deep down in your heart
That if you've failed the fault is yours to keep
Cos you never work you always sleep
I'm a cat you twat, that's what we do!
Well don't blame me then when your life is through
And you've spent your days just looking round
Coughing up furballs and feeling down.
I'm afraid that then we both saw red
Rude words were spoken, harsh things said
I said sit and here what I have to say
He just muttered bollocks and he walked away
I miss that cat, I really do
When he left he said he just had to
Find his own path, said he had to see
What was written in his destiny
Moggy down the road says he's happy now
And he's tending bar at a pub in slough
They call him Stan the man, it's ironic that
Since he is in fact a pussy cat.
