Comments/reviews:

Whilst planning my move to the UK in my home country Australia, I picked up the book Plan B by Emily Barr. At the time I knew I wanted to live in England but wasn't sure where. Plan B gave me the answer - Brighton!

The story surrounds Emma, her partner Matt and their daughter Alice who live in Brighton. Emma loves Brighton; it's been her home for years. She loves the smell of the sea air, shopping in the North Laines, walking along the beach, the sound of the seagulls and taking Alice to the pier. So when Matt tells her that he wants them to move to France she very reluctantly agrees.

Moving means that Matt will have to commute to London for part of every week for the first year but after that he can transfer. Their plan is to buy a lovely farmhouse in the south, get married and have the perfect life.

But when the house turns out to be a disaster area and Emma discovers the true reason Matt goes to London she realises that its time to come up with Plan B.

A truly gripping story.
